SUMMARY:

Chapter 41 opens with Yoichi Isagi entering the Second Selection’s first stage, where he is immediately confronted with a strange, isolated training room and a mysterious hologram goalkeeper known as the Blue Lock Man. Unlike the team based matches before, this challenge is completely individual. Isagi must score one hundred goals within ninety minutes, facing the pressure alone with no teammates to rely on. The situation instantly makes it clear that this stage is designed to test a striker’s personal weapon and mental strength.

As the challenge begins, Isagi struggles to understand how the room works. Balls are launched at unpredictable angles, and the Blue Lock Man reacts realistically, blocking shots and even deflecting the ball with physical resistance. Isagi quickly realizes this is not a simple shooting drill. The goal area dynamically changes, shrinking his effective scoring space and forcing him to think faster with every attempt. He recognizes that hesitation or wasted movement will immediately lead to failure.

While adapting, Isagi focuses inward, analyzing distance, speed, and timing in real time. He identifies that his strongest weapon is his spatial awareness and ability to read situations instantly. By positioning himself precisely and shooting without hesitation, he begins to score consistently. As his goal count rises, the difficulty increases further, with additional holographic defenders appearing to block his path. The room constantly recreates high pressure goal scoring moments, pushing him to refine his accuracy and decision making.

As Isagi fights through the challenge, Ego Jinpachi explains the purpose behind this stage. The training room is built using data from the world’s best goalkeepers and advanced holographic technology. The goal is to separate players who relied on teammates from those who truly possess their own scoring weapon. Ego emphasizes that these ninety minutes act as a filter, exposing who can turn zero into one through sheer individual ability.

Near the end of the chapter, Isagi’s exhaustion is evident, but his resolve grows stronger. Despite the rising difficulty, he embraces the pressure and declares his intention to evolve right here and now. The chapter ends with Isagi charging forward, determined to sharpen his weapon and prove that he belongs among the next level of strikers, setting the tone for intense personal growth in the Second Selection.
