BLUE LOCK CHAPTER 35 – A DETAILED BREAKDOWN:

LAST CHANCE

A red card. Three minutes. One ball still in the air.

THE OPENING CHAOS A Red Card That Changes Everything

The chapter explodes before you can breathe.

“WATARU KUON, RED CARD!! YOU’RE OUT OF THE GAME!!”

In the same instant, “ARE YOU OKAY, NAGI?!” ,and we already know something violent just happened.

Reo is barely held back. Zantetsu grabs him: “CALM DOWN! ANOTHER YELLOW AND YOU’RE OUT TOO!”

And through gritted teeth, Nagi answers the entire crowd with three words.

“I’m fine.”

THE CONFESSION Why, Kuon?

Someone asks the brutal, obvious question:

“You would’ve advanced if you hadn’t done anything… so what’s the big idea?”

Kuon had safety in his hands. Advancement was his. He threw it all away.

His answer isn’t a strategy. It’s raw and human:

“It’s just… something that I did for myself…”

Before anyone can process that, “Thanks to that red card, Kunigami is ahead of you now.”

EGO SPEAKS The Most Telling Lines of the Chapter

Kuon breaks his silence. Barely.

“…Shut up.”

Then, like someone confessing something they don’t fully understand:

“Of course I knew that… but my body just moved on its own…”

This isn’t strategy. This isn’t self-destruction. His ego moved before his brain could stop it.

Then comes the line that reframes everything:

“…Had better win. ‘Cuz I’m gonna be the world’s best striker.”

A challenge dressed as a farewell. You’d better win, because I cannot let this be where it ends for me.

RIVALS BECOME FUEL A Meeting of Egos

The anger dissolves into something stranger. Reluctant, mutual understanding.

“I’m gonna be the world’s best.” “No, I am.”

These aren’t teammates rallying together. These are rivals who each believe the top belongs to them alone.

And that very selfishness becomes the engine of something collective:

“There’s no way we’ll let this end here.”

SECOND HALF OVERTIME Three Minutes Left. That’s All.

The board is merciless. Second Half Overtime Begin!!!

Team V wants to stall. Pass it around. Eat the clock. Reo has zero interest in survival.

“Our only option… is to crush them.”

“Tying with guys like them… is the same as losing.”

ISAGI CALCULATES One Mind Still Working

While everyone else reacts, one mind is running.

“If I was Reo… I’d pass to Nagi. No matter how covered he was…”

But he doesn’t stop there.

“Or make it look like Nagi… then release to Zantetsu!!”

NAGI OR ZANTETSU?!!

In Blue Lock, one instant of indecision is the difference between survival and going home.

KA-BOOSH.

Reo shoots on his own. Because in Blue Lock, the egotist doesn’t wait for permission.

The keeper stops it. But the chapter isn’t done.

FINAL SECONDS The Ball Is Still Alive

Bodies collide. Voices fracture into single words, “Get it!!”, “It’s up!!”, “STOP HIM!!!”

A shot flies. The ground shakes. From nowhere, GAGAMARU?!, KLANG. Saved again.

Every player is a half-second from collapse.

Then one voice cuts through everything:

“ISAGI!!”

And the chapter closes on this:

“Now… for our last chance.”

Continue to Chapter 36 → The ball is at Isagi’s feet. What happens next defines who stays, and who goes home.
