Chapter 35 opens with a shock: Wataru Kuon gets a red card and is thrown out of the game. Nagi is checked for injury, and Reo is warned to calm down or he’ll get another yellow and be out too. In the tense aftermath, Kuon says he acted for himself even though doing nothing would have let them advance. In the goal count talk, someone notes Kunigami is ahead, then corrects it: Kuon and Kunigami both have three goals.
Overtime starts, and there are three minutes left. Team V talks about passing the ball to waste time and using safe options to avoid losing. Team Z refuses to let the match end here and declares they will win. Team V hardens their stance and says their only option now is to crush Team Z.
Reo steps up for a foul kick from the right side of the penalty area, about twenty meters away. Team Z forms a wall and scrambles to mark Nagi and Zantetsu. Isagi thinks through Reo’s choices, trying to read whether the pass will go to Nagi or Zantetsu, and struggles to track both at once.
The kick and follow-up create chaos. Iemon, Team Z’s keeper, makes a big save, the ball clangs off the frame, and teammates shout to get the rebound. A fast break sparks as players rush; Team Z’s defender jumps in from the wall, and the ball pops loose again. Team V pushes for “one more point,” while Team Z fights to stop them.
In the final moments, the pace explodes. A shot is deflected, another effort whiffs, and Gagamaru stretches for a touch. The ball hits the post again, and Team Z survives. Isagi receives the call, “Isagi! Now… for our last chance.” The chapter ends on this cliffhanger, with Team Z seizing a final opportunity in added time, and everything riding on their next play.
