SUMMARY:

Chapter 33 opens with Team V seizing the lead, its momentum fueled by the awakening of Seishiro Nagi’s dormant talent. His sudden rise in initiative shocks Team Z, who moments earlier believed they were on the brink of turning the match around. The shift rattles every player, especially Isagi, who realizes that Nagi’s unpredictable movements have shattered their ability to read the game. With only fifteen minutes remaining, the pressure intensifies as Team Z begins to fear that one more conceded goal will end their tournament run.

In response, Kunigami and the others debate retreating into a defensive formation, but Raichi rejects the idea outright, insisting that only continued aggression can save them. His fiery outburst rekindles the group’s fighting spirit, reminding them that their identity as strikers demands forward action. As play resumes, Isagi pushes himself to find the missing element he needs to score, all while watching Bachira, whose unpredictable dribbling now strains under the match’s mounting physical demands.

The tension peaks when Chigiri receives a long pass and races down the wing. Knowing the defenders will swarm to stop him, Isagi predicts that Chigiri will send the ball far ahead to break through Zantetsu. Anticipating this, Isagi positions himself at the precise weak point in the field. His read of the situation triggers a chain of high speed collisions between Chigiri, Zantetsu, and Reo. The shot that follows crashes off the post, creating chaos inside the box as the ball rebounds into open space.

What happens next becomes the turning point of the chapter. Gagamaru makes a desperate, acrobatic attempt to redirect the stray ball, missing by inches. Yet the scramble shifts Team V’s defensive shape just enough for Kunigami to claim the final opening. Isagi’s instinctive movement places him exactly where the wave attack needs him, and Kunigami’s strike ties the score 4–4.

The chapter closes with Isagi stunned by the realization that he predicted the entire sequence before it unfolded. His spatial awareness has evolved into a weapon capable of simulating the field’s future. This breakthrough marks a transformative moment: for the first time, Isagi sees a path toward creating goals through his own vision, not luck or chance.
