After spending the early minutes defending deep, Team Y had been waiting for the perfect moment to steal the ball and unleash Okawa’s powerful shooting ability. His feint and precise finish overwhelm Iemon, giving Team Y a 1–0 lead and revealing that their defensive posture was actually a calculated strategy built entirely around Okawa’s weapon.

The goal rattles Team Z, and frustration quickly rises. Players argue about missed marks and wasted rotations as the pressure of falling behind sinks in. Kuon steps up to steady the team, insisting they continue the “Me, Next 9” operation and stick to attacking with their individual strengths. His confidence helps settle the room, but Isagi quietly wonders if they can truly win when every attempt is being shut down by Team Y’s stubborn defense and time-wasting possession.

The second half begins no differently, with Team Y calmly passing the ball back to their own side to drain the minutes. Imamura tries to use his speed and technique to take the initiative, but Team Y simply avoids him, deepening his frustration. In a desperate move, he throws himself into a reckless tackle that disrupts their rhythm and finally gives Team Z an opening. This allows Gagamaru to enter for his ten-minute turn, and his explosive leaping ability almost results in a goal from Isagi’s early cross, igniting hope throughout the team.

Their near-success earns a corner kick, and for the first time, Team Z feels the momentum shifting in their favor. As the players rush to the box, Isagi feels a strange, sharp awareness stirring inside him. While Bachira prepares to take the corner, Isagi senses a path forming before he can fully explain it. Acting on that instinct, he breaks away from the crowd and sprints toward a spot only he can see.

The chapter ends with Isagi trusting his intuition completely, marking a defining moment in his evolution as he steps beyond hesitation and seizes his first real chance to change the game.
